New Format for Lost?

June 6, 2007 at 11:13 am (Lost)

Obviously there won’t be a lot of posts about Lost, since there are no episodes until January.  But there are bound to be various updates until then, so when I hear something, I’ll pass it on.

This past week I heard that Lost will have a somewhat new format.  Instead of being based on the island, bulk will be based in the ‘future’ and the flashbacks will be filling in holes of what happens on the island.  So the flash forwards we saw in the finale will actually be what most of the show is in the future.

I kind of like that.  I thought that they had done almost everything they could with most of the back stories and didn’t really care to learn more about most of the characters.  This makes it a lot more fresh.  What are your thoughts?

I’d say with 3 seasons to go, it may be a bit soon for that format change – but I am confident the writers can pull it off.

After all, it didn’t seem to hurt this year’s finale, and going in the opposite direction will make us speculate just as well as we do now.

I read that the company has booked their sites in Hawaii for another year – so it looks like there will still be plenty of scenes shot in Hawaii, i.e. “on the island”.

I watched the season finale again and caught that Ben told Richard to continue on and take the people to “the temple”. Anyone ever hear anything about a temple? Maybe it’s tied into the people who had the 4 toed colossus and the columns from an archaeological ruins that Ben’s father was tied up to.

the talk on the message boards is that it has something to do with the original culture of the island. just like the place they went to when Locke was supposed to kill his dad.
