Ok, I didn’t put this up and I’m hearing about how I need to put it up. So go ahead and leave your thoughts from the last couple of episodes.

I’m convinced it’s possible Ben might be redeemable, although it was a little disconcerting to hear the smoke monster (via Ben’s daughter) say he was already planning to kill Locke again! Both Ben & Charles Widmore insist everything they do is for the island, but they both turned to the Dark Side and became more concerned with personal power than what is best for the island.
Loved the poke Locke gave Ben about what it felt like to follow someone who won’t share everything they know. Ha! The interchanges between Ben and Locke were super!
So… is Locke really alive… or is he a manifestation of the smoke monster? What about Christian Shepherd? We’ve certainly seen the smoke monster/island read people’s minds and manifest as someone familiar to the person they want to communicate with. Ben’s memories were similar to Mr. Eko’s. [Btw... why did the smoke monster NOT kill him... and then, later, kill him?]
My guess is that the smoke monster can replicate something/one from someone’s memory for short periods of time… beings that have actual substance… the horse Kate saw… Ben’s daughter, etc. but maybe it can’t do it indefinitely. That would mean Locke & Christian really are alive… which then brings me to my theory that the time they arrived on the island was BEFORE they actually died, so they are still alive.
It’s interesting that Locke, Ben & Sun are having their own island adventure… a continuation of their past, while the NEW survivors now have their own story line. What was with the question they asked Frank? Have they been taken over by the island, the same way the French scientists were?
It’s also interesting that the earliest temple, the one underneath a later one, is Egyptian. That’s a definite link to Richard’s long term involvement, and the big Egyptian statue. Maybe HE’S the one pictured in the statue. Why doesn’t he ever lead? He’s always the second banana, but the leader is still respectful of him….
Go Desmond!!

Since there isn’t a post for the latest episode, I’ll add to this one….
Well, Mile’s father turned out to be who we had suspected him to be. Now I wonder why the time traveling on the island didn’t affect Miles more. Wasn’t there something about the amount of time spent on the island affecting your reaction to the time shifts… which is why Charlotte died? Maybe Miles left as an infant. [It's getting a little old to have one more "father issue". Maybe the island only attracts people with "father issues".]
I found it interesting that at least SOME of the people on the Ajira flight were there purposefully… and disturbing that they brought heavy ammo with them. They’re not on either Ben or Widmore’s side… so we know there’s a 3rd side. Maybe a Dharma comeback? And what’s with the code, “What lies in the shadow of the statue?” Apparently they aren’t aware of everyone who’s part of their group. And what DOES lie in the shadow of the statue? The nuclear bomb?
Miles and Hurley are great together. Kate is a troublemaker… just a tad too impetuous. But when she acts impetuously, she gives it her all. And I don’t like Roger. You start to feel badly for him… then he shows you what a jerk he really is.
It’s painful to watch Sawyer try to keep a step ahead. What will he do with the guy he knocked out?
What was Jack erasing on the blackboard? Did anyone catch anything?
